Introduction & notes

This form is required to apply for a Gateway certificate under Part 4AA of State Environmental Planning Policy (Mining, Petroleum Production and Extractive Industries) 2007.

Please note that a Gateway certificate application cannot be lodged before 4 October 2013, when Part 4AA of the Mining SEPP commences.

You are not required to apply for a Gateway certificate if:

  • your project is on land outside of the Strategic Agricultural Land Map in the Mining SEPP, and
  • no site verification certificate has been issued verifying that the site contains BSAL.

OR

  • your project is on land within the Strategic Agricultural Land Map in the Mining SEPP, and
  • is not on mapped CIC land, and
  • a site verification certificate has been issued verifying that the site does not contain BSAL.

Your application must be accompanied by a supporting document.

If you are not the owner of the site, your application must be accompanied by evidence of landowner notice in accordance with clause 17F(3) of the Mining SEPP.

The supporting document, and all other documentation may be uploaded in Step 5 of this form. N.B. the file(s) comprising your supporting documents must be in "pdf" format, non-secured and no more than 10Mb.
